Visit Your Book Club

Has your book club read one of my books? If so, I’d love to meet your members and chat about my books. I’ll give a 20-30 talk about my books, my writing process, and how I got started, then I’ll answer any questions your group has. Afterward, I’m happy to sign purchased books and sell additional copies of all of my titles.

The only fee would be my traveling and accommodation expenses, and I do ask that I be allowed to sign and sell my books. While in your area, I’d love to hold a signing and/or talk at a local bookstore or two.

Classroom or School Group Talks

As a former teacher and librarian, I love visiting schools. I have talked to several different grade levels on various topics.

Examples of Topics for School Visits:

  • How to come up with a story and turn it into a book
  • How to write a fairy tale – what elements must be included in your story
  • The writing process inside and out
  • The Maryland Blue Crab
  • Called to be a saint

There is no fee for school talks in the Mid-Atlantic area. A form would be sent to parents before the talk encouraging them to purchase one or more of my children’s books. I’m happy to talk to teachers and librarians outside of my local area to see if we can work out a visit!

Parish Retreats

Planning a retreat for the women of your parish can be daunting. Let me help you with this! I developed my first retreat, Finding Your Path Through Women of the Old Testament, for my parish back in 2017 and have been leading it for other parishes ever since.

I will work with your parish to provide a full day or short evening of retreat and reflection for women of all ages. For a full day, I suggest a light breakfast and a tasty lunch be provided by your parish while I take care of the rest. The day will include Bible readings, short talks about the readings, and time for reflection and small-group discussion. Evenings retreats are approximately two hours.

Retreat Topics:

  • Finding Your Path Through Women of the Old Testament
  • Called to be a Saint (this can be catered to any age group)
  • Lent or Advent topics catered to the needs and desires of your parish

Fees are negotiable and include traveling and accommodation expenses. I also ask that I be allowed to sign and sell my books after the event. These include uplifting, faith-based novels, children’s books, and meditations and devotionals for women.
